Chinese Hackers Break Into White House Military Office Network

According to Bill Gertz from the Washington Free Beacon, hackers associated with China's government broke into one of most sensitive computer networks in the White House on September, 2012. The breached computer network is used by the White House Military Office (WHMO) which is in charge of some of the government's most sensitive communication such as strategic nuclear commands. The Obama administration national security official claimed that the breach is carried out by spear phishing attack against an unclassified network, and the system was isolated upon the identification of the incident. Therefore, there is no indication of any exfiltration of data, and the official also claimed that there was no impact or attempted breach of a classified system with the office.
